Emily Jean Spencer Ashbrook (née Spencer; born September 21, 1934) is a former American politician. A member of the Republican Party, she served six months as a Congresswoman from Ohio's 17th District from 1982 to 1983. She is the widow of Congressman John M. Ashbrook, whom she succeeded. Born Emily Jean Spencer in Cincinnati, Ohio, she attended schools in Newark Ohio, graduating from Newark High School in 1952.
